Refocussing is an internationally recognised counselling theory and practice. The overall aim of Refocussing is to facilitate wholeness.

To achieve this the theory provides an approach to attend to people’s unmet needs across three domains:

  • Intra-personal
  • Inter-personal
  • Trans-personal (spiritual)

Refocussing Counselling (RFC) or Refocussing Therapy (RFT) has been reported to be very effective for:

  • individual and couples work (incl. family therapy)
  • increasing individual’s connection to God
  • difficulties with stress and anxiety
  • healing and resolving some depressive disorders
  • goal setting and problem solving
  • increasing damaged self esteem
  • workplace vision and team building
  • training and teaching small groups in self awareness
